"Scomparire" -
Le mie scarpe sono scomparse. - My shoes have disappeared.
Il sole scomparirà all'orizonte fra pochi minuti. - The sun will go down (disappear at the horizon) in a few minutes.
"Togliere" -
Il ragazzo ha tolto le mani di tasca. - The boy took his hands out of his pockets.
Togli quattro da dieci. - Take four away from ten.
Tolgo il disturbo. - I won't disturb you. (literally: "I am removing the disturbance.")

1. Potluck / lezione / festa! Bring something to eat for potluck. We'll eat, read the story, practice audio unit 12, parlare in italiano, e possiamo giocare e cantare se volete!!.

2.  Continue with audio Unit 12.

3. Read "L'anello magico" from the bottom of p.202: "Era un topone grande e grosso..." to the end of the story.

4. Find a simple question or sentence using each of these verbs in context. Look up a sentence in a verb book, or on wordreference, or check it with a native speaker, so that we know that we are practicing current and common usage.
