-Compiti (homework)

1.  Listen and repeat with Audio: LEVEL TWO, unit 12. We'll practice it in class. Let me know if you need it!

2. Handout number 21 (front). and (back). On the front, do part B. On the back, do part D.

For part D, remember that the past participle agrees with the direct-object-pronoun. (See point number 3 on page 264 of our text). If you don't remember how "bello" changes before a noun, see page 59.

Part B, directions in English:

"Yes, I'll buy it for you. You are very helpful, and you do everything that the others ask of you. Answer "yes" to all of their requests."

Part D, directions in English:

"Who gave that to you? Carlo talks to a friend who gives him compliments on his clothes, and asks him who gave them to him. Carlo always responds that his girlfriend gave them to him."

3. Read ahead in Il Bastimento a Tre Piani to near the bottom of page 12, "... e per di più vecchio cadente."

Optional: Find a simple question or sentence using this verb in context. Look up a sentence in a verb book, or on wordreference.com, or check it with a native speaker, so that we know that we are practicing current and common usage.
