1. Getting to know you. Use the pink handout, and write out how you would say these:
- a. "My name is..."
- b. "What's your name?"
- c. "Where are you from?"
- d. "I'm American. I'm from (city)."
- e. "What work do you do?"
- f. "I'm a ..."
- g. "Where do you live?"
- h. "How long have you been in Italy?"
2. Parlate con Noi (our handout with the little drawings) This is unit 3 "3 Tre Terza lezione". Use the white handout (#16) to answer the questions on the pink handout (#17) This is a practice with definite and indefinite articles, singular and plural nouns, also showing posession, using the preposition "di". "di Chiara" means "of Chiara", "Chiara's" (belonging to Chiara). (click for answers)
3. Andare, Dare, Fare, Stare. Use the gold handout (#18) to practice and memorize the conjugations of these four irregular -are verbs. (click here for translations and answers)
- 4. Interrogative words. Do the exercise on the back of the yellow handout #19 "Se vuoi chiedere qualcosa..." to help you memorize these interrogative words.
5. Reading. Read handout #20 "Vita Italiana" (white). Read about the regions of Italy, what a scalo is, and where you will buy your bus tickets.

7. click to listen to an audio version of the back of your blue handout (#13)"luoghi (places)". Some of the words on your list use the definite article "the", some use the indefinite article "a". There is no significance to which words use which article, it is just a way to practice both types of article.
