Livello Tre. Lunedi, il quattordici gennaio. Prima Lezione

Level Three. Monday, January 14. First Lesson

-Compiti (homework) The answers to all these Practice Sets are in the back of the text.

1. Memorize the body parts: corpo umano, Practice Set 61. Do these exercises 1 through 27.

2. Practice Sets 46 - 47. Some words can be either an adverb or an adjective: these are always invariable as adverbs, and usually change their endings (to agree with the noun they are modifying) when they are adjectives.

3. Practice Set 69. Modal Verbs. Memorize the conjugations of the modal verbs. This Practice Set also covers some other verbs which are sometimes used before infinitives. The conjugated verb sometimes requires a preposition before the infinitive: Comincio a ballare. Spero di lavorare.

4. Il futuro. Do all the exercises in Practice Set 99. Memorize how to form the future tense.

5. Handout: Superlativo Assoluto. Read, and do the exercises A, B, C. click here for the answers

6. Memorize the ordinal numbers from "first" through "twenty first". (emphasized syllable is underlined)

primo, secondo, terzo, quarto, quinto, sesto, settimo, ottavo, nono, decimo, undicesimo, dodicesimo, tredicesimo, quattordicesimo, quindicesimo, sedicesimo, diciassettesimo, diciottesimo, diciannovesimo, ventesimo, ventunesimo...

You get to do this, because nobody caught my mistake: "tenth" is "decimo". (NOT that other thing I said in class!)

There's no class on Monday the 21 of January. See you all on the 28 of January.
