-Compiti (homework):
1. Modal verbs. Memorize the verbs on page 190. Potere, volere, dovere. To be able to, to want to, to have to. Memorize their conjugations in the present tense. Write them out over and over again, say them aloud over and over again. They are usually followed by an infinitive. Look at Practice Set 69 and see how the modals are used. If these exercises are not too difficult, you can do the exercises . We have not had some of the vocabulary yet: use a dictionary and a verb book.
2. Che tempo fa? The weather. Page 119, 120: Practice Set 36. Read the section, and do all the exercises.
3. All'aeroporto. Page 121: Read the dialogue, and answer the questions in Practice Set 37.
4. Write out and say aloud the conjugations for all the irregular verbs we've learned so far:
- essere
- avere
- stare
- fare
- andare
- dare
- venire
- sapere
- Also write out and say aloud the conjugations of these regular verbs:
- cercare (it's regular, but the spelling changes to preserve the hard "c" sound)
- arrivare
- guardare
- conoscere
- prendere
- vedere
- servire
- preferire
-
