Venire- to come

1.         I’m coming to the party.                  (alla festa)

2.         Are you (tu) coming to my place?         (da me)

3.         Is she coming, too?                  (anche before lei)

4.         Signora Conti, are you coming to the station?         (alla stazione)

5.         We aren’t coming to Rome.         (a Roma)

6.         Are you (voi) coming to Italy?                  (in Italia)

7.         They are coming to Italy, too.         (anche before loro)

 

Sapere – to know or to know how

1.         I know how to dance.         (ballare)

2.         Do you (tu) know how to sing?                  (cantare)

3.         Does he know how to play guitar?         (suonare la chitarra)

4.         Do you (Lei) know the number?         (il numero)

5.         We know where the restaurant is.         (dove si trova il ristorante.)

6.         You (voi) know a lot.         (molto)

 

Conoscere – to be familiar with

1.         I know that hotel.                  (quell’albergo)

2.         Do you (tu) know Dario?                  (Dario)

3.         Does she know Rome?         (Roma)

4.         Do you (Lei) know my sister?                  ( mia sorella)

5.         We don’t know your brother.                  (tuo fratello)

6.         Do you (voi) know my mother?                  (mia madre)
